2000… Unforgettable 2000.
The ocean ruled until the end of February.
I mirrored its moods as I transcribed 2 volumes on the computer
In Paris in May, underneath a painting of Molière (the original, of course…), the very first reading of Oublier is performed by four wonderful actresses – and one actor from the Comédie-Française.
This portrait made the cover of the Lagarde + Michaud in which I studied literature!!
I take the entire summer to complete the transcription of Florent
and in September, I begin proofreading Gabrielle.
In October, deep into my proofreading work, I meet Claude, my boyfriend. A photo? No… later.
And November 17 marks the premiere of Oublier

My sister, Louise.
(This photo was taken by Jean-Bernard Porée, whom I always bumped into at various premieres and official ceremonies. Driven, and a great photographer.)
My friend Pierre, who came to “support the author” with his friendship.
Then, in Montreal, the day after my birthday,
Boréal’s cake at the book launch for Gabrielle,
and a delighted Marie!
The only sad note to mar this great year: the death of my dear Françoise Giroux in April.
I dedicated Gabrielle to her – she became my friend after having been a great mother-in-law (Pierre, on the previous page, was her son.)
